Frost Student Association

What is the Frost Student Association?

The Frost Student Association (also known as the "FSA") Board of Directors are elected officials chosen to represent and advocate for the students at Fleming College Frost & Haliburton campus.

FSA president of 2020/2021 Adam Folland shares his experience at the student association and how it impacted his life, resume and overall Frost campus experience.

HOW WE OPERATE

The FSA experiences yearly turnover in the way of elections and graduations. This continuous flux challenges any individual board or person to create long-standing changes that will improve the Frost and Haliburton experiences beyond their time in office. This strategic plan addresses this concern and identifies what makes Frost and Haliburton students unique while addressing the individual concerns of both campuses.

This strategic plan was created by students, for students, and represents hours of efforts, years of planning, and a passion to ensure the progressive interests of the FSA and our students are met.

MISSION

To advocate and provide activities and services that enhance the quality of student and campus life.

VISION

To engage with all students in personal growth, success and knowledge through authentic connections.

How to Join the Frost Student Association

Each winter (January to April) the FSA holds elections to elect each of the 7 positions on its Board of Directors. These positions are President, Vice President, Director of Community Outreach, Director of Communications, Director of Engagement, Director of Student Life, and Director of Ecological Sustainability. Any full-time, fee paying students that are returning for the following year may run in these elections. Once nominated and elected, these students make up the mantle of the FSA leadership for the following academic year. More information about elections is released during the winter semester, so keep an eye out for communications!

You may also volunteer with the Frost Student Association. Volunteering your time and efforts for committees such as the Events Committee or Sustainability Committee where you will work with board members and other students to plan, implement, and run programming or other initiatives, or through various other means to get involved with the FSA.

If you have any questions or are wanting to get involved, reach out to fsa@flemingcollege.ca.
