These are just a few examples. If circumstances like these, or other issues, have affected your academic standing or have led to you failing a course, you may have grounds for an academic appeal.
The FSA is here to help you understand the appeal process, talk through your situation, review the steps with you, and support you as you navigate the process.
What is an Academic Appeal?
An academic appeal is a call of action towards a faculty member or course of study. It is a way for a student to protest a failing grade, and to possibly have that grade reconsidered.
Our best advice? Start early.
If you’re struggling in a course or notice an issue that could affect your academic success, come and see us as soon as possible. The FSA can help you understand your options and support you in working toward a solution before the situation reaches the point of a failing grade.
