Stomping Out Stigma at Frost Campus Mental Illness Awareness Day!

Frost Campus' Student Services has joined forces with “Team 55, Let’s Tackle Suicide Awareness” to highlight the importance of suicide prevention. Our key note speaker from Team 55, Dave Pogue, will be talking about suicide prevention and next steps to reduce stigma related to mental illness. Jack Veitch from CMHA and Chris Jardin from PARN will be joining us as guest speakers to engage in this important conversation.

Joanna Hodge and Kent Hodgin, faculty members and musicians, will be leading up a band that day. We also have Ray Henderson, faculty member, and member of the Citiots, providing some comic relief. Robin Nesbit, Coordinator of Recreation Services at the Recreation Complex, will be dancing us through Blake Shelton’s Footloose as we Stomp Out Stigma!

Come join Student Services for food, music, improv, dancing and guest speakers on Oct 4th from 2:00 – 4:30 pm.
